The Horse, like many of us, has one priority in life – where is the food and can he eat it now?
With a new member to their little herd, The Horse, his best friend Billy and the grey pony were running low on decent grass. They had been blessed with such fantastic grazing that anything less was intolerable (according to The Horse anyway).
Unfortunately for the yard owner this meant that one nosy horse, with two pals to back him up, was about to cause trouble.
“Hey. Hey guys!”
“It’s night. It’s bed time. Let’s sleep.”
“Yeah, but, guys!!!”
“What?!”
“I found a break in the electric fence…”
For a moment no-one could believe it. I mean what were the chances?!
“He’s right you know.” Said the grey pony.
“I don’t like it. It could still be electric!”
“Don’t be silly, Billy.”
“There’s good grass the other side.” The Horse reached across “OMG I just got some!”
“Me too!”
“I don’t like it guys. You might get zapped!”
After some time reaching and risking touching the electric fence The Horse took the final step.
“Oh no! Oh, what a terrible shame! I appear to have pulled down the fence and ended up in the field with all the grass.”
“Hey, me too!”
“I still don’t trust the fence.” Billy grumbled. “I’m staying over here.”
“Your loss!”
The yard owner was quick to fix the fence on finding two of three horses in the wrong field the next morning. However, I can’t help but feel quite proud of The Horse for being brave and clever enough to hoodwink the electric fencing system.
